March 2024. A big thankyou to Luke Lawson-Healey for providing new photographs for our website, taken at our spring concert in Friezland Church. You can see more of his work on Instagram: @dont_blinkmcr. We would also like to thank the church for accommodating us and The Oldham Choir for a wonderful joint collaboration.

 

April 17. Mossley Community Centre for the hire of their fantastic building at our children's concert.   A huge thank you to the children of the Incredible Plastic Street Band for their amazing contribution at the concert. Thanks also to Becky Woolstencroft at Butterfly B Photography for the great photos of the event.

December 16. Mossley Methodist Church for the hire of their beautiful church as the venue for our Christmas Concert and Mr Kershaw for all of his help. Thanks also to Saddleworth School Brass Band, Mossley Ukulele Group and Waterhead Community Choir for taking part in the concert and helping to make it a fantastic event.

 

October 16. Alexandra Park Junior School for allowing us to use the school as the venue for our training day. Polly Virr, Peter Mitchell and Kirstin Hall for the fantastic job as tutors for the day.

 

April 16. Becky Woolstencroft at Butterfly B Photography for the beautiful photos at Portland Basin.

 

January 2012. The Arts Council England, a grant to support Spinning A Yarn.

 

December 2011. Tameside Council YouChoose grant to support Spinning A Yarn.

 

August 2011. Tameside Council grant from Ward monies held by Councillor Clive Patrick in the Stalybridge North Ward.

 

May 2011. Tameside Council grant from the Mayors Office.

 

January 2011. A grant by Mossley and Stalybridge North East District Assembly Discretionary Budget towards transportation costs after we were invited to audition for the Britains Got Talent TV show.

 

December 2010. Tameside Council grant from Ward monies held by Councillor Roy Etchells in the Mossley Ward.

 

July 2010. Thanks to Adam Spencer Young for the photographs of the orchestra at the Victoria Baths. You can see more of Adam's work at The Music Press or by email.

 

June 2010. Thanks to Hanson Clarinets who have lent us an Eb clarinet for evaluation.

 

May 2010. We received a grant from Tameside Council Community Chest to develop the skills of the orchestra and purchase new equipment.

 

March 2010. Tameside Council grants from Ward monies held by Councillors Ann Etchells, Roy Etchells and Valerie Carter in the Mossley Ward.
